Staff at Huisartsen Beijum

In our practice we work with a team of regular GPs. This includes the practice-owning GPs and locum GPs. The locum GPs work as much as possible for one specific practice-owning GP.
Our aim is to schedule patients with the same GP whenever possible. Having a regular GP means that your doctor knows your medical history, keeps track of changes in your health, and can build a trusting relationship with you.
For urgent medical problems, it may be necessary for you to be seen more quickly. If your own GP or their locum GP does not have availability, an appointment will be made with one of the other doctors.
For this reason, it is not always possible to schedule your appointment with your own GP.

General Practitioners

Our practice employs several medical assistants. They will assist you on the telephone and at the reception desk when you arrive at the practice. In addition, the medical assistants run their own clinics.

From Monday to Friday, by appointment, you can visit the medical assistants for, among other things:

Within our practice, we regularly offer training placements for medical assistant interns.

There are three practice nurses in our practice who run specialist clinics for patients with asthma/COPD, diabetes mellitus, and cardiovascular diseases. They also provide support with smoking cessation. Patients can be referred to one of the practice nurses by their GP.

You can consult the mental health practice nurse for a wide range of concerns, such as low mood or depression, anxiety, parenting or family-related issues, social problems, bereavement, stress or burnout, or other difficulties that you are unable to resolve on your own.

Our practice is a training practice, which means that GP trainees complete part of their practical training here.
Under the supervision of one of the regular GPs, they independently conduct consultations, telephone appointments, and home visits.
